C++ Software Engineer

IP communications test and measurement company seeks software engineers with development experience using object-oriented methodologies on Windows and Linux platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background, employ excellent testing methodologies, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • IT related degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient with C++ development language.
  • Cross-platform development experience (Linux/Windows).
  • Possess an understanding of inter-networking protocols and client/server architectures.
  • Understanding of source code control principles including versioning, atomic commits, commenting, branching, reverting and merging.
  • Experience with OOD/OOP.
  • Experience with RDBMS systems such as MySQL Server.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and complete tasks on time.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Additional skills a plus:

  • Understanding of VoIP and related IP communications protocols (SIP, H.323, SCCP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Web development tools such as Java, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, XML and others.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, or similar technical field required.

Software Engineer

Responsible for developing real-time software specifically for test & measurement of next generation networks supporting IP based communication systems using SIP, H.323 and SCCP protocols as well as Internet related protocols such as TCP and UDP; design, implement, maintain and improve components, products and systems of Voice and Video over IP software utilizing computer assisted engineering & network design software; engineer software development & testing of VoiP devices; write test plans for production testing & scripts for debugging.

Req. Master's Degree in electrical engineering.
