Touchstone Technologies, Inc. partners with Datacom Systems to provide customers a software-based solution to monitor, diagnose and test IP communications and converged networks

Datacom Systems is pleased to announce a partnership with Touchstone Technologies, Inc. an IP communications test and measurement company that provides software-based solutions for voice and video quality monitoring, early warning detection, problem determination, and back-feeding network management systems, reporting systems, and billing systems. These software solutions can run on a variety of platforms and operating systems and are typically loaded on a commercial PC. Coupled with Datacom Systems devices, customers get better access and improved analysis for their networks.

Touchstone's solution provides per-call detail records (CDRs) that deliver over 185 individual metrics which cover all KPIs for call signaling quality (QoE) and media quality (QoS). The solution also provides alerts and alarms for virtually all call quality issues and can easily integrate into Network Management Systems via SNMP. The solution can also integrate into billing and reporting systems via the RADIUS protocol. All call records are stored in an SQL database and an optional reporting tool can be used to automatically generate and e-mail reports to a list of subscribers.
